We had so many plans for 2020, but after certain events transpired, they all fell to the wayside. The world is in a strange and uncertain place right now, and everyone can feel it. One of the biggest things that we as a band have been missing so much from "normal life" is performing. We were lucky to start the year off with some incredible gigs, but now we're all stuck inside, apart from each other and all of our friends.

Some of our favorite performances as a band have been house shows, where people kindly and generously open up their private spaces and let the music community come together to share in something that everyone enjoys. The more shows we play, the more we recognize that the DIY scene is something special.

This unplugged set was recorded at The Big Idea, a one-night-only NOLA house venue, in celebration of our friend Jana's birthday in September of 2018. We wanted to put out this previously unreleased set as a tribute to the scene, to the friends we've made, and to the nights we have all shared in spaces that brought us together. The quality on these tracks aren't studio-worthy, but we feel it captures the true, raw, unfiltered essence of being at a house show with the people you care about.

We hope we all get to feel that feeling again very soon.
